Shakespeare in the Ruff Returns to Withrow Park August 13th-Sept 1 with Richard III

‘Richard III’ runs August 13th-September 1st, Opening Night is Aug. 15th.

Performances run Wednesday-Sunday (with additional performances on Tuesday, Aug. 13th & Monday, Aug. 26th) at 7:00pm & tickets are Pay What You Can with a suggested donation of $15 (cash only).

The performances take place in the centre of Withrow Park, mid-way along the main path from Hogarth to Strathcona.

Local musicians will be serenading our audience starting at 7:00 p.m. every night (performance begins at 7:30pm). Magic Oven will be selling grilled cheese sandwiches in the park before the show, so not to worry if you’ve forgotten to pack your picnic.

On the closing weekend there is an extra theatrical treat. At 7:00 p.m., August 29th, 30th and 31st, the Young Ruffians will be performing their collective creation, a showcase of their work this summer and special preshow to our final performances of Richard III. These young people are not to be missed!

In the case of rain, the performance will take place at The Downstage, 798 Danforth Ave. (below Magic Oven). They will make an official rain announcement on cloudy days by 5:30pm on their website at http://shakespeareintheruff.com/

Want to participate in the fun? You can volunteer to be an usher (they even accept families!).  Contact them at info@shakespeareintheruff.com to be a volunteer.
